Europe's Green Week 2015 is coming soon

21.04.2015

This year Europe's largest environmental conference "Green Week 2015" will be dedicated to nature and biodiversity. The conference will take place from 3 to 5 June at "The Egg" Conference Centre in Brussels.

Nature is the foundation of our health and our wealth, it provides us with everything that makes life and economic growth possible - air, water, food, energy and raw materials. Our green planet with its extraordinary natural diversity is tightly coupled with human quality of life - it is a source of inspiration and joy and an integral part of our cultural heritage. As nature and biodiversity also play a significant role in creating jobs and stimulating investments, it is imperative the issues of nature protection and Europe's competitiveness are addressed hand-in-hand.

This year the Green Week will offer unique opportunity for debates and exchange of best practice and experience while focusing on benefits we receive from nature and the framework needed to protect it. Over the past decade, the conference has become an unmissable event for anyone involved in environment protection.

Last year's conference brought together more than 3000 partakers and the three days this year are also expecting to attract several thousand participants - non-governmental organisations, government and business representatives, EU officials, media and others.

Green Week conference is open to public and participation is free of charge.
