The project goal is to increase the capacity and success of Latvian Fund for Nature in participation in the democratic processes aimed at nature preservation and sustainable development. The main focus is on analysis of the already accumulated experience and existing processes as well as development of strategy for further activities.
During the project there will be developed an action plan for Latvian Fund for Nature for the next year, a 3-year strategy, an internal and external communications audit, as well as a plan for involvement of new members. Also the project will help to increase the fundraising for priority projects. During the project there will be trainings for LFN staff, volunteers and memebers of Council. We will also develop a cooperation plan with other NGOs, as well as support local iniciative groups’ activities for nature protection and sustainable development.
3 day training for LFN staff, volunteers and members of Council.
In August 2016 members of LNF staff, volunteers and members of LNF Council participated in a three day training. The training covered three areas – communications, argumentation and psychology as these skills are more and more necessary for advocacy of nature issues, as well during the day to day activities and communication with stakeholders and society.
During the training the participants also worked on development of LNF strategy for 2016-2018 and evaluated the achievements of the previous period.
